Nicholas Owen Ralph

Neuromorphic and Mechatronic Engineer, Vision and Machine Learning, Designer, Astronomer

ABOUT

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Neuromorphic Space Imaging at the International Centre for Neuromorphic Engineering and MARCS Institute at Western Sydney University, Australia.

PhD research in the exploration of space situational awareness using neuromorphic event-based cameras. During my Master of Research, I developed a thesis in machine learning for radio-astronomy and during my Engineering Bachelors, an Honours thesis focused on machine learning for human feature recognition from drone image platforms.

My overall research focus is in intelligent system and algorithm design in machine learning and computer vision applied to space and robotics with a strong mechatronic design focus.
